Domain health check: review DNS and email configuration

What the health check includes

The check combines A, AAAA, MX, NS, SOA and CAA with SPF and DMARC analysis. Results are presented separately: a missing CAA record or lack of IPv6 does not by itself make a domain misconfigured.

An MX record of 0 . is a Null MX: it declares that the domain does not accept email. This differs from publishing no MX record. The tool reads these records but does not open an SMTP connection to the servers.

How to prioritise findings

First confirm that you checked the correct domain. Then review syntax errors, duplicate SPF records and unexpected inherited policies. If a query cannot finish, retry before deciding a record is missing. Keep a sender inventory before editing DNS.

Configuration and reputation are different

This check covers DNS and published authentication settings. It does not measure reputation, blocklists, website speed, TLS certificates or inbox placement. It does not generate a health score: consistent settings cannot guarantee acceptance or inbox placement.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

It is free and requires no registration. Check one domain at a time. Usage limits help keep the service available.

Does this change my configuration?

No. It reads public records. It does not request access to your email account or change DNS. The queried name is sent to Cloudflare’s public resolver to obtain the answer.
